On March 14th, our AcenTek office in Allendale, Michigan, celebrated Pi Day by enjoying various types of pie. While staff enjoyed the “holiday” with food, they decided it would also be appropriate to give food. An in-office food drive was organized by the Casual Day Committee as this seemed like the perfect time to collect for those in need. After learning of a shortage of food at the Allendale Food Pantry, AcenTek staff decided they could help.
Donations didn’t end there. Monetary donations, of $600 each, were given to the food pantry at Allendale Love INC and Coopersville Cares Food Pantry. These donations are possible due to staff participation in casual day. Staff is allowed to dress casually in exchange for a donation. The Board of Directors at AcenTek then matches those funds and staff decides what area organizations they would like to make a donation to.
AcenTek is proud to support these organizations and commends all volunteers who work so hard to keep these important resources available in the communities we serve.
